Ever since I claimed my full name as my username, the “people you may know” suggestions have been flooded with characters from a past I’ve pretty much left behind…or at least packed away into a corner and tried to ignore. It’s a little upsetting for me because it’s not something I want to have to consider on even the semi-regular basis that I log in.

At one point in the past week or so, the single person (or group or page) that shows up under “Suggestions” on the top right of my homepage was the guy who gave me an enormous poster of a photo of myself a few years ago. WTF, Facebook? That’s just not cool. I guess it goes to show that sooner or later, the past catches up with you. The internet just makes it easier for that to happen.
