Went to see this in the afternoon by my lonesome. It was parts funny, parts cute, parts sentimental, but I liked Paris, Je T’aime better as a whole. The intertwining of each director’s selection instead of just showing them sequentially was a bit forced…but I think my faves were the one with Anton Yelchin and Olivia Thirlby, the one Natalie Portman directed, and the one Fatih Akin directed.
FYI New Yorkers:  If ever you want to see a movie in theaters but not quite enough to pay $12 for it, get breakfast early on the weekend and go see it for half price at any AMC/Loews theater before noon. Kips Bay is my favorite because they seem to get all new releases, put at least one showing of it between 11 and noon, and there will be like 5 other people in the theater with you.
