I hate making a big deal about birthdays, but I spent my 21st alone last year (it was my own fault, but I still think I’ll forever be unhappy about that) so this year really needed to make up for it.  It’s been extremely low key and spread out over the weekend and spilling over into tomorrow, but still eventful and fun.

Friday - made shrimp curry and dal at buddy’s place and I drank a bottle of prosecco while my dinner companions drank cabernet, I think it was.

Saturday - spent the day lounging around in pajamas watching the last several episodes of season 4 of House.

Sunday - more lounging, catching up on the Daily Show, dinner at Ethos with buddy, Man on Wire at Landmark Sunshine with roomie and her friend. Nightcap: root beer float made at home with ben & jerry’s vanilla.

Today - chocolate cake with mocha buttercream frosting at Billy’s Bakery (still have half the slice left in the fridge, it’s so damn big), getting things ready for tomorrow, watching Gossip Girl premiere, and now I’m going to watch Mad Men and maybe have the rest of my cake before bed.

Tomorrow - classes from 10 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. Drinks at a location that I have not yet decided on, following a mandatory internship for credit meeting I have to go to in the evening.
